The Continental TKC 70 is a trail tyre designed to combine a good level of road efficiency with genuine off-tarmac ability. With a 70% road and 30% off-road positioning, it suits riders who alternate between daily journeys, fast riding on asphalt and more or less frequent ventures onto trails.
Available in radial and cross-ply constructions, it meets different needs within the trail segment. Depending on the size, its speed capability can reach 240 km/h on track. The radial-casing versions are handmade in Germany, reflecting the care taken in their manufacture.
Its off-road-oriented tread pattern is combined with high-level road behaviour. The TKC 70 maintains lively steering on the road, while providing a reassuring feeling on stony tracks and gravel roads. This versatility makes it suitable for trail bikes used on varied terrain.
MultiGrip technology is designed to provide consistent grip from a single compound. The central section features a more wear-resistant zone to support longevity, while the softer shoulders increase grip when the bike is leant over. This balance is achieved through temperature-controlled curing during production.
With RainGrip technology, traction on wet surfaces is improved. It helps maintain calmer, safer riding when the weather deteriorates, especially in the rain.
The specific arrangement of the tread blocks has been designed to reduce rolling noise, maintain stability on the road and preserve good off-road performance. This pattern also contributes to riding comfort, while maintaining good control on different types of surface.
Designed to cope with demanding conditions, the TKC 70 relies on a robust structure that supports durability. It can also be combined with other models, such as the TKC 70 Rocks, to place greater emphasis on off-road riding depending on the type of route planned.
