After unveiling its brand new range of Power sports tyres and City Grip 2 scooter tyres, Michelin presents a lot of novelties in 2020. The French manufacturer also introduces a brand new offer in customs with the launch of the Commander III.
The Commander III is the successor to the Commander II, which has been split into two models to meet the needs of users, with a Cruiser version for models in this category and a Touring version for touring vehicles. It is, moreover, a different design that allows easy identification of either version of the new Commander.
The two custom tyres also have relatively similar characteristics, notably, first and foremost, their great longevity, which the preceding models could already boast of, and which is even more significant for these models.
It is the use of a 100% silica composite that has improved wet grip, and on the Cruiser model, also a 3% greater siping than the Commander II.
Finally, as the appearance of the tyre is also an important criterion for customs, the Commander III tyres benefit from the Premium Touch Technology for most sizes: it is a new laser marking process to highlight the mouldings on the sidewalls.
