The tyre sidewall features a section equipped with Silent Sidewall Technology, designed to counteract vibrations and noise emanating from the tread and caused by contact with the road. This reduction in noise emissions significantly enhances comfort.

The wide sipes of the Stiff Handling Blocks are designed to enhance traction. These tread patterns diminish as they move away from the middle part of the tire. This improves snow grip and driving stability. As for the sipe activator found in the center of the shoulder blocks, it optimizes the activation of these blocks when the vehicle accelerates or decelerates, providing the maximum grip needed.

The central rib is flanked by groups of three small blocks featuring a large number of sipes. Every other sipe alternates between leaning to the left and then to the right. The bottom of the grooves separating these rubber blocks contain reinforcements, known as Handling Supports, providing the tyre with improved handling.

The sculptures of the massive central groove do not extend across the entire width of the tyre, for enhanced driving precision and improved handling control.

The flow of snow and mud is greatly optimised by the smooth grooves.

Water and mud are expelled from the grooves of the structure thanks to the angle of the rear side of the rubber blocks.

The safety of your journeys on winter roads depends on the impeccable quality of tyres. To assist all drivers in maintaining this, two indicators developed by Nokian Tyres are present on the tyre. The Driving Safety Indicator is located on the tread and consists of numbers indicating the depth in millimeters of the central groove. The alteration of the rubber gradually erases these numbers, allowing to constantly know the degree of wear. The Winter Safety Indicator allows to know if the groove where it is located is still more than 4 mm deep. When the snowflake that visually symbolizes this indicator is erased, it is time to change the winter tyres to maintain safety on winter roads.

The Nokian Twin Trac Silica rubber compound includes both natural rubber, silica particles, and canola oil. This combination ensures the tire has optimized grip whether the road is covered in snow or just wet. At the forefront of rubber compounds, the innovative Twin Trac Silica also gives the tire more driving stability and increases its resistance to road hazards. Its remarkable grip qualities in winter conditions are maintained even with temperature changes and during long journeys, thanks to the significant amount of rubber and canola oil used. Moreover, the tire's very low rolling resistance leads to a significant reduction in fuel consumption.

The tyre's shoulder block sidewalls adhere perfectly to the ground, providing flawless grip whether in deep snow or through curves.
