Michelin's creation of the TRX in 1975, the very first "low profile" tyre, allowed for a spectacular advancement in the even distribution of stress across all points of its casing. With these TRX tyres, great achievements were made in motorsport, whether by Alain Prost on Renault in F1, or in rallying during world championships contested by Audi Quattro, 205 Turbo 16, or R5 Turbo.
