Improved grip in winter

The tread is designed with a special winter rubber mix that provides excellent grip even when temperatures drop below 7 °C, regardless of driving conditions. Moreover, this rubber compound enhances the model's longevity.

Shorter braking distances on snow

Goodyear's 3D-BIS® system interlocks the rubber blocks to reduce braking distances on snow. Compared to all competing winter tyres, this technology allows for an average braking distance reduction of one meter. Furthermore, compared to the average of the two leading market tyres, it enables the UltraGrip 8 to achieve 3% shorter stopping distances, considering that the snow braking distances are calculated from 50 to 5km/h.

Very good resistance to aquaplaning

The UltraGrip 8 features two V-shaped grooves, for water drainage and for biting into snow. This ensures excellent control and minimizes the likelihood of aquaplaning on wet or slush-covered roads. Compared to the competition, this tyre can boast of winning comparative tests of aquaplaning resistance on winding roads by a significant margin (+16%).

With Goodyear's 3D BIS® technology, the focus is on optimizing winter road handling.
