When cornering, if the shape of the contact area changes, the amount of rubber in contact with the ground will not decrease. Benefiting from the latest digital simulation software used in automotive and aviation, Michelin's Pilot Super Sport enjoys a force and temperature distributed more evenly across the contact surface.

Between the inner and outer tread, two different compounds are distributed.
Inside, the latest generation of elastomers ensures excellent grip on wet surfaces, allowing the tyre to break the water film along the roughest surface of the road.
Outside, a new elastomer reinforced with carbon black from the 24 Hours of Le Mans provides perfect endurance in corners.

Designed in nylon and aramid, Twaron belts ensure better stability at high speeds. Its variable tension allows it to tighten the center of the tread more closely than the shoulder, thus better controlling centrifugal force and distributing the force more evenly.
