Michelin TRX GT-B
The Michelin TRX GT-B is an ultra-high performance summer tyre, part of Michelin's Classic range, specifically designed for sports cars from the 70s and 80s, notably as exclusive equipment for the BMW 635 Csi. This tyre combines modern materials with original specifications to offer an authentic driving experience and a vintage aesthetic for classic cars.
It is distinguished by:
- A symmetrical tread pattern with low void, enriched by new composition techniques, offering three continuous ribs for increased stability and tranquillity, as well as optimal longitudinal traction.
- Inclined lateral channels and four circumferential grooves that efficiently evacuate water, reducing the risk of aquaplaning on wet surfaces.
- A robust internal construction, with a two-ply polyester cord carcass and high-strength steel wire, reinforced by a polyamide layer for improved high-speed performance.
It is important to note that Michelin TRX GT-B tyres must be handled with care at temperatures below -7°C, requiring a gradual warming to at least 5°C for 24 hours before any handling. Improper use or storage at ambient temperatures below 7°C can result in irreversible cracks in the rubber compound, not covered by the Michelin warranty.
