Can I change the size of my rims?

Yes, provided you have the right car/tyre/rim combination.

Your manufacturer may have approved different tyre sizes for your vehicle.

For example, for a BMW 3 SERIES F30 SEDAN 320i, the manufacturer has approved the following dimensions:

205 60 R16 92V / 225 55 R16 95V
225 50 R17 94V
225 45 R18 91Y

To fit any of these dimensions, you'll have to buy the right rims.

You need to be able to fix your new wheels to your vehicle without them coming into contact with the brake calipers or sticking out of your bodywork.

They must have:

the right width
the right diameter
the right centreline distance
the right number of holes
the right offset
and sometimes a special bolting kit
