Since the first tyre rolled off the production line, BFGoodrich has been pushing the boundaries of its product performance and now offers tyres for trucks and heavy goods vehicles in Europe.
In 1870, the visionary and self-taught entrepreneur Benjamin Franklin Goodrich established the first tyre factory in North America in Akron, Ohio. At that time, performance was an integral part of the brand's DNA, which led his son Charles Cross Goodrich to later establish the company's first research centre in the United States.
Standing out from the competition as early as 1903, BFGoodrich® became the first choice for Ford's Type A tyres. This marked the first car to cross North America from east to west.
The company is of course also interested in the start of the aviation industry. 1909 is the year when BFGoodrich® set a speed record of 75 km/h on a Curtis Aircraft Company during the International Air Race held in Reims, France. At that time, only BFGoodrich® became a legend: equipped with the Spirit of St. Louis in 1927, Charles Lindbergh made the first non-stop flight across the Atlantic Ocean on this plane. In 1977, the tyre even flew into space via the Space Shuttle Columbia.
Always in search of new ideas and possibilities, the brand's designers constantly present new challenges for themselves and accumulate initiatives as well as significant historical milestones in tyre design over time.
Since 1914, BFGoodrich® racing tyres have proven their performance on all race tracks and in all major competitions, including the Baja 1000, the World Cross-Country Rally Cup and Dakar, and have won numerous trophies and victories over the years.
Drivers around the world swear by their robustness. Whether it's a long journey, through the urban jungle or in mud, ice, and snow, BFGoodrich® tyres are undoubtedly on the side of the vehicle and its driver. Whether you are a truck driver, dump truck driver, bus or coach driver, or even a local delivery driver, whatever your sport terrain and performance requirements, there are tyres that suit you.
