Designed for passenger cars, the Hankook Winter i*cept evo4 W340 is a winter tyre that combines performance suited to the cold season, improved driving comfort and increased longevity. Compared with the previous generation, its mileage is up by 14%, notably thanks to design work aimed at better controlling tread wear.
Its manufacture is based on a lower vulcanisation temperature and a revised silica distribution. This choice helps reduce rolling resistance, resulting in lower fuel consumption and more stable road handling.
The tread pattern has been completely redesigned. It relies on chamfered blocks and an optimised arrangement of the central grooves, a configuration that reduces rolling noise and thus improves everyday acoustic comfort.
In snowy conditions, the optimised tread layout strengthens traction and improves braking when winter becomes more demanding. Meanwhile, the soft rubber compound increases the contact area with the road, which helps limit wear and extend mileage.
