Integrated directly into the tyre, the DSI, or Driving Safety Indicator, makes checking wear easier. Thanks to clearly legible figures showing the remaining tread depth, the condition of the tyre can be checked immediately.

This system makes it easier to monitor wear over time and to identify more clearly when tyre replacement is necessary. By making tread depth reading quicker, it helps maintain a satisfactory level of safety and efficiency.

Power Lock Core refers to the reinforced internal architecture of the Snowproof 3P. Developed for the most demanding driving conditions, it helps the tyre maintain its stability at high speed, improve steering precision and offer better long-term resistance.

This architecture is based on the combination of a new tread pattern design, high-performance bead rings, a redesigned mould and extended rim protection. Together, these elements promote safe road behaviour when the tyre is subjected to heavy stresses, particularly in fast corners, under braking or when in contact with a kerb.

The Alpine Grip compound is based on a new formulation combining silica with resins from renewable sources. Developed for winter, it is designed to maintain effective grip and precise handling when temperatures drop, on wet roads or roads covered with snow.

This composition remains just as effective on wet and dry roads when the weather becomes milder. It therefore helps the tyre to retain consistent performance in different conditions, combining road holding, control and precision.

Developed by Nokian Tyres, SilentDrive™ technology is designed to deliver a quieter, smoother drive. Its role is to dampen noise coming from the road before it reaches the cabin, helping to reduce noise disturbance during the journey.

Thanks to this reduction in the noise perceived inside the vehicle, journeys become more pleasant, both for everyday use and over longer distances. This technology therefore contributes to improved driving comfort and a reduced feeling of fatigue at the wheel.

With its Alpine Performance 3.0 concept, Nokian Tyres brings together various technologies designed for winter use. The aim is to ensure consistent behaviour on snow, on wet ground and on dry roads, helping the driver to remain confident as conditions change.

The three-zone tread pattern has been developed to promote both grip and stability. Combined with the Alpine Grip compound, it helps to maintain consistent performance despite temperature variations. Meanwhile, the reinforced Power Lock core contributes to more precise handling and increased durability.

Designed to keep driving under control despite rapid changes in winter conditions, the three-zone tread pattern combines three sections with complementary roles. This design is intended to improve grip, stability and tyre behaviour on snow, on wet roads, as well as in the most demanding winter situations.

The Arctic zone helps maintain good traction in various winter conditions and ensures safe handling on snow-covered roads. The Aqua zone helps limit the effects of aquaplaning, in order to enhance safety on wet surfaces. Meanwhile, the Performance zone improves stability and steering precision to preserve good vehicle control.

Aramid fibre reinforcement in the sidewalls is designed to increase the tyre’s strength and longevity when driving conditions are particularly demanding. Integrated into the sidewalls, these very high-strength fibres provide additional protection against external stresses.

This structure enables the tyre to better withstand impacts and cuts that could affect its structure. It therefore helps to maintain its integrity on roads that are more exposed to risks, particularly in the event of an impact or contact with obstacles.
