Designed for SUVs, the Hankook Winter i*cept evo4 SUV W340A is a winter tyre developed to combine grip on snow, steering stability, low noise and durability. Its service life is 14% longer than the previous model.
The work carried out on rolling resistance is based on a lower vulcanisation temperature and a more even distribution of silica in the compound. These developments help to reduce fuel consumption while also delivering more stable road handling.
Acoustic comfort has also been revised with a new tread pattern made up of chamfered blocks and centrally positioned grooves arranged in an optimised way. This layout helps to reduce rolling noise and make driving more pleasant.
The redesigned tread pattern further enhances the tyre’s effectiveness in winter. It improves braking on snow and promotes effective traction when conditions deteriorate. More flexible, the winter compound increases the contact area with the road, which helps to limit wear and maintain performance over a greater distance.
