Description

The new summer tyre, the Nokian Powerproof, perfectly masters lane changes at high speeds as well as sudden braking. Its unique two-zone safety concept ensures optimal grip and precise handling.

Dual Zone Safety

Dual Zone Safety provides grip as well as precision and manoeuvrability. The Power Zone maximises manoeuvrability on dry surfaces while the Wet Safety Zone is tasked with minimising the chances of aquaplaning and increases safety and tranquillity conditions in wet situations.
Power Zone. Precision & manoeuvrability. Driving on dry roads is rigorous and undisturbed by the combination of various advancements such as the innovative and solid profile, the rigid tread blocks and its clarified pattern, not to mention the grooves with inclined edges.
The Wet Safety Zone ensures a controlled grip on wet surfaces. The trapezoidal drainage grooves divide the middle groove and the one located towards the inner shoulder. The resistance to skidding on water film is made more infallible thanks to the expanded wavy pattern at the base of the grooves. This enables them to store water while hastening its drainage. The inclined grooves also increase the dynamic response to aquaplaning. The distribution of the groove edges is more uniform and they have sides with horned notches that expedite water flow.

SILENT GROOVE DESIGN

Half-ball shaped notches adorn the walls of the longitudinal grooves, defining a much more pleasant drive. This innovative idea delivers silent grooves, reducing the generation of sounds inside the car as well as rolling noise. Less air resistance, less surface heat of the tyre, and slower wear are the other benefits of this new design.

These tyres are so underrated it is crazy. Tried many different ones. These are my value goto tyre on this car that are better than expensive branded ones.

Very good tires in terms of dry and wet road grip, may be slightly noisier than the firestone I had before but it's not catastrophic

Delighted with their performance, second set on the way. I will continue to buy this model as it has no rival in price quality. Size: 255/40R18 99Y. I mount them at the rear with Nokian Seasonproof 225/45R18 95Y at the front. With the x-drive, it drives perfectly without chains on snow-ice, even going to the ski slopes. I hope they last longer (max. 40000 km)... but then they wouldn't grip as well ;)

I had Pirelli before. I had enough of it. My winter tires are also from Nokian. I thought to try the summer Nokian type as well. So far I am satisfied. Quiet and good grip.
