Hankook Ventus Evo K137

50 Reviews

Hankook Ventus Evo is a latest-generation UHP (Ultra-High-Performance) tyre, designed to combine sportiness, safety and efficiency. This fourth evolution marks a notable step forward thanks to an innovative architecture that delivers high wet-road grip, reduced rolling resistance and improved service life.

Its rubber compound, developed with optimisation via artificial intelligence, aims for uniform dispersion of silica within the tyre structure, a key factor for wet-surface performance. The wide grooves help evacuate water, limit the risk of aquaplaning and maintain good control, even in heavy summer rain.

Increased stiffness of the sidewalls and tread blocks improves cornering stability and contributes to a 6% reduction in dry braking distance compared with the previous generation.

While offering a high level of grip, the Ventus Evo K137 stands out for particularly low rolling resistance, made possible by an innovative material assembly, which helps reduce fuel consumption. Its stiffer design also increases mileage by 32% compared with its predecessor.

Optimised distribution of block stiffness

Optimised distribution of block stiffness
The balanced distribution of sipes, lateral grooves and rubber bridges ensures uniform stiffness of the tread blocks. This design contributes to more even wear and increases mileage by more than 30% compared with the previous model.

Increased mileage

Increased mileage
This model delivers a 32% mileage improvement compared with the previous generation, promoting increased longevity and better-controlled wear.

Bead chamfer technology for optimised braking

Bead chamfer technology for optimised braking

The chamfered structure enhances braking grip by ensuring an even distribution of pressure across the road contact patch.

The tyre’s smoothed edges provide more uniform support and increase friction with the road surface, resulting in a 6% improvement in dry braking performance compared with the previous version.

Even distribution of contact pressure

Even distribution of contact pressure
The tyre geometry and construction have been optimised to ensure even pressure distribution across the entire tread. This design contributes to uniform wear and high mileage, even under heavy loads.

Optimised stiffness for dry roads

Optimised stiffness for dry roads
Increased stiffness in the direction of travel, particularly on the outer blocks, improves grip on dry roads and ensures more effective contact with the road surface.

Improved cornering stability

Improved cornering stability
The flat-profile sidewall increases the tyre’s rigidity when cornering, optimising grip and stability. This design ensures more precise, better-controlled driving, including at high speed.

Enhanced braking performance

Enhanced braking performance
This model offers a 7% improvement in braking on wet roads and 6% on dry roads compared with the previous generation, helping to reduce stopping distances and improve control.

High-performance lateral drainage

High-performance lateral drainage

The optimised drainage tread pattern controls block deformation to increase the contact area with the road. By reducing variations in support caused by concave deformation, it contributes to improved stability on wet ground.

This design delivers a 7% gain in braking on wet roads and a 4% improvement in handling on wet surfaces compared with the previous model.

Optimised handling on wet roads

Optimised handling on wet roads
The optimised design delivers a 4% improvement in wet handling compared with the previous version, for enhanced control and more precise driving on wet roads.

Optimisation of shoulder grooves

Optimisation of shoulder grooves

The optimised design of the shoulder grooves enhances braking efficiency on wet roads. The contact patch is increased, improving grip on the road.

Rubber bridges integrated into the shoulder blocks create a closed structure, helping to reduce noise during everyday driving and to provide improved acoustic comfort on a daily basis.

New tread compound for enhanced grip

New tread compound for enhanced grip

The Ventus Evo adopts a new tread compound enriched with dedicated performance resins, ensuring high grip, including on wet roads.

This advanced rubber formulation improves hysteresis and converts the energy produced by friction with the road surface, in order to enhance traction across various temperature conditions.
