The new Michelin Power Cup 2 is even more focused on circuit driving than the Power 5 and Power GP. The design of the Michelin Power Cup 2 was primarily aimed at circuit driving, but its shape and composition allow it to be road-legal. However, it remains a tyre specifically designed for the track, with a lower grooving rate (4% front / 5% rear) which provides better grip on dry surfaces, even though this compromises water drainage. The shoulders are also of a very pronounced "slick" type and the rear tyre benefits from a special circuit rubber compound. This tyre therefore allows the rider to push their machine to the maximum on the circuit, while still being road-legal. Although the Power Cup 2 is less versatile than the Power GP, it delivers better performance on the circuit.
The rubber is primarily designed for the track, with its MICHELIN 2CT compound at the front and MICHELIN 2CT+ at the rear.
Its grooving rate of 4% at the front and 5% at the rear allows it to be road-legal.
The sidewalls are equipped with the "Premium Touch Technology".
