The Shinko Group was founded in 1946 and is located in Osaka, Japan. It originally started as a manufacturer of bicycle tyres and inner tubes. Today, the group is a thriving manufacturer of rubber products.
In 1998, the Shin Kong Group acquired the technology and moulds for motorcycle tyres from Yokohama Rubber Company and began manufacturing its products under the Shinko Tire brand. With production in South Korea and designs originating from Japan, the company has successfully combined Japanese design and engineering principles with South Korean production and quality control standards. Today, Shinko Tire produces about 200,000 motorcycle tyres per month.
In the United States, Shinko tyres are imported by Western Power Sports, Inc. (WPS), headquartered in Boise, Idaho. The company has a strong presence in the electric sports market and has warehouses in Boise (Idaho), Fresno (California), Ashley (Indiana), Elizabethtown (Pennsylvania), Midlothian Ann (Texas), and Memphis (Tennessee). Shinko Tyres USA has partnered with WPS and proudly introduced the Cruiser, Scooter, Off-Road, and Dual Sport tyres from the Shinko sports series.
Continuous testing in the United States and the development of the R&D department at the Shin Kong Tire Factory have led to the production of promising tyres that can meet the needs of today's riders. Shinko Tire and WPS have one goal: to meet all your expectations.
