What is a rim edge protection tyre?
When your car is equipped with low-profile tyres (aspect ratio under 55), the rims aren't as well-protected as they are with higher-profile tyres.
You may damage your rims if you hit the pavement during a manoeuver. Manufacturers have come up with tyre models featuring a small protective edge to better protect rims. They can be identified by one of the following markings depending on the brand: RB, RPB, FR, FP, FP, FSL or MFS.
